The Canberra Raiders have continued to assert themselves as one of the best junior nurseries in rugby league with no less than four players appearing in last Sunday’s test between the Junior Kangaroos and Junior Kiwis.
Fullback Jack Ahearn, halfback Mitch Cornish and back rower Patrick Mago all donned the Green and Gold of Australia while utility back Jeremy Hawkins lined up in the centres for the Kiwis side.
All four represented the club with distinction particularly Mago, who took out the players’ player award after a two try effort.
“It’s a huge honour to represent your country,” Ahearn said after the game.
