The Canberra Raiders face their greatest challenge of the year on Saturday when they take on the undefeated Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park, however the Green Machine will head down to the Victorian capital confident given the result of their previous encounter.
The Raiders demolished the Storm 40-12 at AAMI Park in round 18 last year in perhaps their most impressive performance of 2012.
Canberra led from start to finish in the victory with the Raiders backline wreaking havoc on the night. Both of Canberra’s centres and wingers scored tries, many of which were long range efforts.
Perhaps it was the loss that Melbourne needed as they quickly recovered and went onto win the Grand Final. One thing that is certain though is that they definitely would not have forgotten the hiding that Canberra gave them in front of their home fans.
