West Belconnen will look to turn their disappointing start to the year around this weekend with a victory over the Queanbeyan Kangaroos.
To do so, Warriors five-eighth Joe Cramp believes that his side must amend their poor defensive record after conceding 86 points in the opening two rounds.
“We’ve had a disappointing start to the season and we’re keen to turn that around this weekend,” said Cramp.
“Defence has been our biggest downfall so far this year and we’ve worked hard to fix that at training. The Roos will be a huge test us and we know that we need to be at our best to compete with them.
“We’re a young side and we’re starting to gel slowly. Keep an eye out for our hooker Nic Whatman. This is his first year with the club but he’s been very sharp out of dummy half.”
