NYC Round 15 Match Report: Raiders V Tigers
« on: June 22, 2013, 07:40:54 PM »
A brace of tries to debutant centre Eli Roberts was not enough to prevent the Canberra Raiders NYC side from suffering their first loss in fourteen weeks with the Green Machine going down to the Wests Tigers 36-24 at Campbelltown.

The match doubled as the Grand Final rematch, with the Tigers once again getting the honours.

It will be a nervous wait for Mitch Barnett and Kilu Pangai, after both were marched from the field late in the game for fighting. It’s the first time players have been sent from the field since the NRL introduced the new rules.

Canberra led their opponents 24-18 with 20 minutes left in the game but the Tigers rallied late scoring three unanswered tries to hand the Raiders only their second defeat in 2013.
