Round 15 Holden Cup @ Campbelltown Stadium

As It Happened:

Almost time for the kick off to the round 15 Holden Cup clash between the mighty Raiders and Tigers at Campbelltown Stadium. Raiders are in 1st spot on the ladder and the Tigers are 7th.

FIRST HALF

Raiders kick off in the Holden Cup against the Tigers and its game on!

Raiders put the pressure on early with a high bomb which is dropped backwards and the Tigers just manage to clean it up.

Tigers give away a penalty for obstruction after having two sets right on the line which the Raiders defended very well.

Raiders go the length in one set and score! Mago makes a break then passes to Ahearn to beat the fullback and Jack gets the try under the posts. Great play from the Raiders! Worboys converts and the Raiders lead 6-0 after 8 mins.

Tigers go close to scoring through their centre but McIlwrick just manages to ankle tap him to prevent him running down the touch line. More good defence from the Green Machine.

Tigers force a dropout with a kick which was taken dead. Raiders are defending very will with the Tigers having a lot of opportunities to attack.

After a mountain of ball in attack the Tigers finally manage to score. Cherrington dives over from close range after receiving an offload. Try is converted from right in front and the scores are level at 6 all between the Raiders and Tigers in the Holden Cup after 18 mins.

Mago has just flattened the Tigers fullback with a huge hit. It's been ruled a shoulder charge and he is placed on report.

Tigers score in the corner after the shoulder charge penalty. Rowe just gets it down next to the corner post. The conversion from the sideline is successful. Tigers lead Raiders 12-6 after 21 mins.

Tigers have had 99% of possession in the last 5 mins.

Try to Raiders! Ahearn steps and slices through the line then passes to Baker who scores near the posts. Worboys lines up the conversion and just misses. Tigers lead Raiders 12-10 after 26 mins.

Raiders have had far less possession than the Tigers but look so dangerous every time they have the ball.

Tigers score after forcing another drop out with a kick and Lovett goes over this time. Rudolph takes the conversion and gets it. Tigers lead Raiders 18-10 after 32 mins.

Way too big and too strong! Big Pangai goes storming over and beats four Tigers on his way to scoring a great try! Kent is taking the conversions now and he hits the upright and misses. Tigers lead Raiders 18-14 with 2 mins until half time.

Raiders get a penalty right on half time and elect to take the shot at goal. Kent lines it up from almost 40m out and just misses. Half time Tigers lead Raiders 18-14 in the Holden Cup.

SECOND HALF

Tigers kick off to the second half of Holden Cup at Campbelltown. Wests lead the Raiders 18-14.

Raiders get a penalty for the Tigers being offside and go deep on the attack. Then they get another penalty.

Raiders score! Mago gives a great pass to Roberts who gets a try in his Holden cup debut! Mago has been outstanding in this match. Kent misses the conversion and the scores are level again at 18 all after 48 mins.

Tigers had a good chance deep in Canberra's half but good defence from the Raiders forces a knock on. The Raiders defence close to their line has been impressive today.

A fight almost breaks out but the players keep their cool and nothing comes of it. Bit of feeling in this match.

Great Raiders try! Gerard makes a break, passes to Ahearn who then passes back to Gerard who kicks and Roberts plants it down. Now Kent kicks the conversion from the sideline! Best Raiders conversion all night was the hardest. Raiders now lead Tigers 24-18 after 57 mins.

Raiders force a drop out with a kick and great chase by Worboys.

Raiders get a penalty for a high tackle by the Tigers and elect to take the two. Kent moves in for the kick and misses. Raiders will get the ball back from the 20m drop out. Actually no they won't, the tigers drop out bounces out and the Tigers will get the scrum feed.

Tigers score off the back of the scrum win. Brooks darts out from dummy half and reaches out to score. The conversion from Rudolph is successful and the scores are level again at 24 all between the Raiders and Tigers with 12 mins left.

Tigers score but the Raiders are challenging the call. Looks for all money that the Raiders fullback has held him up. The challenge is unsuccessful though and the try is awarded. Was a great effort by the Raiders none the less. Conversion from right in front is successful and the Tigers lead 30-24 with 9 mins left.

Brooks attempts a field goal for the Tigers but misses.

Tigers score a length of the field try after the Raiders put up a bomb at the other end which bounced badly for Canberra and was swooped on by Rowe who speed away down field for the try. Raiders should have had a penalty for infringement in the play the ball a coupe of plays earlier but it wasn't awarded. Conversion successful. Tigers lead Raiders 36-24 with 5 mins left.

A huge fight has broken out! Punches everywhere from multiple players! This will really test the new 10 min in the bin for a punch rule, may as well send both teams off because nearly all of them have thrown some.

Tigers number 19 has been sent off, Lovett is sent for 10 in the bin. Pangai is sent off for 10 and Barnett is sent off for the Raiders. That was a huge fight, surprised more players didnt go off. It was an all in brawl. Tigers get the penalty for the initial high shot.

Tigers almost score in the corner but the final pass is ruled forward. Tigers lead Raiders 36-24 with 2 mins left.

Raiders force a drop out with 30 sec left. The Raiders 11 game unbeaten streak has come to an end, but what a streak it was. Full time Tigers defeat Raiders 36-24.
