Queanbeyan Blues (1) 36 defeated Woden Valley Rams (6) 22 at Seiffert Oval

Woden have been the only team to have defeated Queanbeyan in the TTM Canberra Raiders Cup so far this year however the Blues were able to capture revenge with a 36-22 win over the Rams.

The Rams defeated the Blues 34-30 in round three in what was the upset of the year.

Queanbeyan were bitterly disappointed with the loss and were determined to ensure that it didn’t occur again.

“Our loss to the Rams in round one was a big reality check,” Blues front-rower Mitch Day said. “I think it was very valuable for us though because we realised we can't be complacent and just turn up and hope to play good footy and win games.

“Our Coach Simon Woolford definitely wasn't happy after that loss, as well as the playing group, we all realised our attitude was lacking and we didn't show enough respect to the ball and the opposition,” Day continued. “Thankfully we have been able to regroup and get back to playing good footy.”
