After starting the year on the interchange bench, dynamic second rower Joel Edwards is relishing the opportunity to prove his worth in the starting side for the past four rounds.
Edwards received his chance to start in the talented Raiders back-row after an injury to Joel Thompson and has taken his opportunity with both hands averaging 59 minutes, 25 tackles, 65 metres as well as registering 4 tackle breaks.
Whilst Edwards would dearly love to retain his starting position in the Raiders back-row, he is adamant that he is happy to play in any position that Coach David Furner selects him in, including off the interchange bench.
“No matter how old you are or what level or rugby league you’re playing in, everyone wants to start the game but I’m happy to do whatever is best for the team,” said Edwards.
