Raiders name team to tackle RoostersThe Canberra Raiders have made just one change to their side for the match against the Roosters on Monday night, with Tom Learoyd-Lahrs returning to the starting side for the injured David Shillington.
Shillington will miss two weeks after scans revealed a small tear in his pectoral, but fortunately it’s not as bad as initially though and he won’t be out for as long as originally expected.
With Learoyd-Lahrs moving to the starting side it also gives Trevor Thurling an opportunity to return to the bench, with Josh Miller named 18th man.
Raiders Coach David Furner said there was little hope of a return from fullback Josh Dugan and said he still needed more time to be 100 per cent fit.
“Josh has only just commenced rehab running and he’ll need to get through a lot more on the field before we can select him back in the team,” Furner said. “At this stage he’s only an outside chance for this week and Nathan Massey has been doing a great job for us so there’s no need to rush him back if he’s not fit.”
