While they are at the mercy of results from rival clubs due to their poor for and against record, the Raiders are still a chance to make the finals and will look to make the most of this window of opportunity when they travel across the ditch this Saturday to take on the New Zealand Warriors.
The 12th placed Raiders are one of five clubs locked on 24 competition points with the 7th placed Newcastle Knights slightly ahead on 25 competition points.
New Zealand, one place higher than the Raiders in 11th place, are also a chance to make the finals, which sets the scene for a high-octane encounter between two desperate sides that is sure to go down to the wire.
“We’ve put ourselves in a difficult position but we’re hoping to win our next to matches to hopefully make it through to the semi-finals,” said blockbusting second-rower Josh Papalii.
