National Rugby League News / Hasler to sign deal with Manly: report
« Last post by RNA on Today at 10:00:52 PM »
Des Hasler will formally be announced as Manly coach this week according to News Corp.

The need to bring back someone with intimate knowledge of how to bring success to Brookvale weighed heavily on Sea Eagles ownership and it’s said Hasler has signed a three-year deal and will begin work reshaping Manly’s squad from this week.

The Daily Telegraph states no official contracts have been signed yet but the deal is as good as done and the report claims an announcement could be made as early as Monday, pending a few minor contractual details.

National Rugby League News / Fifita humbled by Tongan experience
« Last post by RNA on Today at 04:14:13 PM »
Despite speaking little Tongan and finding himself also singing along to Advance Australia Fair, Andrew Fifita says he was humbled to lead the Sipi Tau in Saturday's historic rugby league Test against the Kangaroos.

The Cronulla prop has been one of the leading figures in Tonga's rise as an international powerhouse following his controversial defection from the green and gold last year.

But Fifita says he was overwhelmed with emotion during the 34-16 loss in front of a sold-out Mt Smart Stadium, where he led the traditional war cry.
