Cronulla Sharks veteran Paul Gallen has shared a hilarious story from his Origin days with the Blues that occurred in the 2010 series.

With the Maroons holding a 1-0 lead, Gallen was drafted into the squad to try and tie up the series at Suncorp Stadium.

Speaking on the NRL Footy Show, Gallen said that New South Wales was in fantastic spirits before they realised something was amiss.

NRL legend Andrew Johns has “no problem” with disgraced former Wests Tigers star Tim Simona returning to the league.

Simona’s return has been a divisive issue across the NRL community with reports this week the Penrith Panthers had been in communication with the former centre.

Simona was dismissed indefinitely from the NRL after he was found guilty of betting on matches among other questionable behaviours, however Johns believes the star has atoned for his errors.
