Josh Hoffman is set to receive a $1 million-plus package from the Canberra Raiders after Brisbane Broncos coach Wayne Bennett told the Kiwi Test star he is free to leave the club.
While making it clear he was not axing Hoffman, Bennett told his management the utility is free to look around because he cannot guarantee him the fullback spot next season.
The 26-year-old has a number of clubs ready to pounce, with Canberra coach Ricky Stuart ready to table a deal worth in excess of $600,000 a season.
The Warriors and Bulldogs are also interested in Hoffman, who was denied a release just nine months ago by former Broncos coach Anthony Griffin.
