Canberra Raiders forward John Bateman has undergone minor surgery today to fix an ongoing shoulder issue.
There was hope the injury would be treatable without surgery, but with his extended representative season with the Great Britain Lions following the 2019 season, it hasn't improved enough. The surgery will give him the opportunity to fix the issue without any ongoing effects.
