The season is far from over for the Canberra Raiders, however the glistening performances of Anthony Milford and Paul Vaughan in their debut year in the NRL has already been recognised with the pair named in NRL.com’s Rookie Team of the Year.
Both Milford and Vaughan debuted very early in the year, Milford in Round 5 and Vaughan in Round 8, and the promising duo have retained their place in the side for the majority of the year, with Milford only missing two games and Vaughan not missing one since his debut.
Perhaps the most impressive feature of their debut seasons is that they have not just been ‘blooded’ but rather become staple features of the team and both are highly likely to be instrumental in the Green Machine’s push towards the semi-finals according to Coach David Furner.
“Their selection is fully deserved and full credit to both of them,” Coach David Furner said.
