Curtis Scott and the Canberra Raiders have been given another big boost on the eve of the NRL season. The Raiders centre is free to play their round two fixture against the New Zealand Warriors in Auckland on March 21. Scott was due to appear in court for his hearing, where he's facing seven charges including two counts of allegedly assaulting a police officer, the day before the Warriors game. But his lawyer Sam Macedone has gained him a leave of absence and he's free to travel across the Ditch. He'll know more about how long the matter might take to conclude after that hearing.
