Williams rules out move to Illawarra

Canberra halfback Sam Williams has refuted reports he is weighing up interest from the St George Illawarra Dragons, insisting he wants to remain at the Raiders long term.

Speculation has flared Williams is considering his options after being dropped to NSW Cup affiliate Mounties recently, despite being contracted with Canberra until the end of next year.

After he was exposed defensively against Souths in round 12, Raiders coach David Furner dumped Williams and moved star fullback Josh Dugan into the halves.
