New Raiders coach Stuart plans trip to meet with Milford New Canberra coach Ricky Stuart is planning to fly to Brisbane to meet Anthony Milford and his family within the week as the Raiders ramp up their mission to retain the rookie sensation.
In a signal that Stuart will not give up Canberra's brightest young talent without a fight, the incoming coach has also met already with Jack Wighton's manager about upgrading and extending the 20-year-old's deal at the Raiders beyond 2014.
Milford has returned to Brisbane to holiday with his family, his future still up in the air as he decides whether to pursue a release from the Raiders on compassionate grounds, relating to the health of his father, Halo.
As speculation continues to link him to the Brisbane Broncos and even a switch of codes to Super Rugby's Queensland Reds, Milford tweeted on Tuesday evening: ''will know more later on during the week and keep u all posted. #futureonhold #holidaymode."
