7 Days of Rams
Day 2 (2 days until our first training session)
The number of winners of the 2014 Rams First Grade Best and Fairest award. The winners being Tim Crome (story written on Day 3) and young gun Jordan “I love footy” Martin.
Jordan has won the award in just his second year with the club; with it also being only his second year in grade football. Jordan joined the Rams at the start of the 2013 season and quickly demonstrated his great potential after being called into the Rams West Wyalong Knockout Squad. This was the Rams most successful attempt at the KO, finishing the weekend as Runners up.
Jordan impressed both the coaching staff and established First Graders with his great enthusiasm on the field and also his infectious personality off the field.
Jordan established himself as a First Grade player in 2013 and took his play to a new level in 2014. He played the majority of his games on the wing, however when given his opportunity in the centres he took it with both hands putting in his best performances. The Rams expect that Jordan will continue his footballing progression and will be a big part of any success we have in 2015 and into the future.
Jordan follows in the footsteps of his father Paul who was a Rams star who went on to play 122 games in the NRL with the Canberra Raiders and Gold Coast Seagulls, winning 2 premierships with the Raiders in 1989 and 1990, and representing NSW County in 1991.
Congratulations to Jordan on an outstanding 2014 and we look forward to hearing the words “I love footy” well into the future at the Rams.
The Rams welcome all players, new and returning, to attend the Rams first training session for the 2015 season. Details are:
- Date: Thursday 4th of December.
- Location: North Curtin Oval (Furthest Oval from dressing sheds)
- Time: 6-7:30pm
