Up-and-comer Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad has announced himself to the NRL with two emphatic tries to power the Raiders to a 17-10 win over a stuttering Knights outfit.
The 23-year-year-old has taken swimmingly to the Green Machine since leaving the Warriors at the end of last season and stamped his success in front of a home crowd at GIO Stadium on Friday night with a first-class display.
Widely regarded as one of the hardest workers in Ricky Stuart’s squad, the signing appears to be one of the success stories of the off-season, but it wasn’t as glowing a picture for fellow young-gun Kalyn Ponga who again appeared skittish in his new role at five-eighth.
