After shooting out to an early 22-0 lead, the Blues took a 24-4 advantage into half-time and never looked in any danger of letting the elimination final slip.
The Kangaroos’ hopes were all but dashed just after half-time when they spilled the ball over the Blues goal line while pressing the attack.
From the ensuing set of six, Blues flyer Eddie Jenkins broke free before outsprinting the cover defence to score in the corner to blow the lead out to 28 points.
It was a surprisingly lop-sided result given the two sides had gone into the match having finished the regular season separated on the ladder by points differential alone.
