The George Tooke Shield rep side travelled to Canowindra to play the Woodbridge Cup rep side, where they drew 22-all on Saturday afternoon.


The George Tooke Shield was well represented across all three games, with the Ladies League Tag collecting a big 32-4 win and the u18's racking up a 40-16 win as well.  
Things didn’t get off to the best start, the GTS side losing two players in the lead-up, forcing them to play with only three on the bench.


GTS shot away to an early lead though, with Carl Johnson and BJ Sione both causing havoc down the edge.


Thomas Fretwell was the first to score, who found the try-line off a nice backline play to cross-over in the corner.


GTS held onto a six-nil lead where they found themselves under enormous goal-line pressure. 


Through some great defence, front-rowrer Haydn Cowled finally found an opportunity to attack and scored to extend the lead to 12-0.


The GTS side had another chance right on half-time but dropped it over the line to head to the sheds with a healthy 12-ni lead.


Woodbridge Cup came out of the blocks firing in the second half and were finding some space around the ruck.


Woodbridge Cup hooker Connor Farrer and utility bench player Tyrone Johnstone both scored two quick tries each to break-open the game and gain a 22-12 lead.


The GTS side found themselves on the backfoot, down on troops and making a mass of tackles.


Through resiliency, the GTS side were able to hit back through Brad Cappello to close the gap to 22-16.
