Team list: Cowboys NYC v RaidersGun forwards Jason Taumalolo and Chris Grevsmuhl are back in the Toyota Cowboys’ NYC lineup for the round five clash with Canberra this evening.
With Tariq Sims returning from injury to North Queensland’s NRL squad, Taumalolo has reverted to the under-20s for the first time since the opening round win against the Gold Coast Titans, while Grevsmuhl has recovered from a hamstring injury he sustained in training prior to round three.
With the two grand finalists from 2011 back, Patrick Kaufusi and Jack Svendsen have dropped back to the interchange bench and Francis Veukiso and Jack Kelleher have been left out of the final squad of 17.
Hooker Alex Elisala has also been omitted with Nathan Norford to start and Jayden Hodges added to the bench as his back-up.
PNG-born Clifford Beetham will start at five-eighth for the Cowboys for the first time and takes over the No.6 jersey from Tennyson Elliott, who will shift to lock as North Queensland tries to break a three-game losing streak.
The Cowboys have slipped to 14th on the under-20s ladder, but could climb as high as 10th with a victory at Canberra Stadium.
The Raiders, who have won two from four, lost 40-10 to the Wests Tigers on Monday night after leading at the half-hour mark.
