Mason's loss helps Dogs to find bite again

Grief-stricken forward Richie Mason didn't lace up a boot yesterday, but his presence in the stands was the inspiration behind Goulburn's 60-0 thrashing of West Belconnen.

Mason showed up at Goulburn Workers Club to support his teammates, despite his mother Bev losing her battle with Huntington's disease the night before.

It proved the motivation for a dominant Bulldogs performance, their first win in the Canberra Raiders Cup this season.
