Before he’d even set foot on Canberra Stadium for his first NRL match in a year, Brett White proved how much the Raiders have missed him.
His eyes bulging with intensity, White delivered a passionate pre-game address before Sunday’s defeat of the Dragons.
In his first game since his knee gave way in round five last year, White spoke about attitude, desire and not giving an inch to their equally desperate opponents.
White’s messsage hit the mark, the Raiders welcoming him back with a gritty win after two woeful efforts against Penrith and Gold Coast to begin the season.
