As former Knights hit man Joel Edwards prepares for his return to Newcastle with the Canberra Raiders on Sunday, one of his old teammates Timana Tahu knows how he feels.
Edwards has placed himself on a media ban in the lead-up to the match, following a controversial exit from Newcastle last year.
The 24-year-old, who played 45 games with the Knights, left his home club after Newcastle withdrew and then downgraded a contract extension that had initially been offered to him.
Tahu, who first left the Knights for Parramatta in 2006, said he could empathise with Edwards and predicted an emotional return for the Cessnock junior.
