They helped steer the Raiders National Youth Competition side to the Grand Final last year however on Saturday they will square off directly as opposing halfbacks in the Under 20s State of Origin fixture at Centrebet Stadium, Penrith.
In a terrific portrayal of the depth in the halves at the Raiders, NYC Captain Mitch Cornish has been selected in the number seven jersey for NSW whilst his regular five-eighth partner Anthony Milford will don the number seven jersey for Queensland.
There’s no hiding the fact that the pair enjoy each other’s company both on and off the field, however Cornish has no doubt that they will hold nothing back on Saturday against each other as both budding stars aim to clinch glory for their states.
“There will definitely be plenty of banter leading into the game, there’s already been heaps of it already!” said Cornish.
