Raid on South Coast for day two of Community Carnival

The Canberra Raiders have blitzed schools up and down the South Coast today, spreading messages of eating healthy, staying active and setting goals for life to over 3000 children in the region.

The Raiders entire top squad split into four groups today visiting 15 schools in the Bateman’s Bay, Moruya, Mogo, Broulee and Narooma regions, with the team signing hundreds of autographs and meeting plenty of their young fans.

Daniel Vidot was lucky enough to present some awards to children at Bateman’s Bay Primary school this morning and said it was great to see the children doing well at school and being rewarded.

“The kid’s get a real buzz out of having the players attend the assembly and you could see in their faces how much they loved showing us they’d won awards,” Vidot said. “It’s been a great couple of days for us here on the South Coast and we’ve enjoyed ourselves.”

The Raiders will head to the Bega region tomorrow to wrap up their preparations for Saturday nights trial game in Bega, where they take on the Melbourne Storm at Bega recreational ground.

Tickets for the game are still available through Ticketek on 132 849 or by visiting www.ticketek.com.au
