With the Australian Schoolboys Championships being held in Canberra this year, the South Australian Under 15s side was given the unique opportunity to be given a tour of Raiders HQ.
The boys in the side along with the coaching staff are unfortunate to not have access to an NRL club’s state of the art facilities in South Australia and Coach of the South Australian Under 15s program David Tyrell believes that the experience will benefit the talented young squad greatly.
The squad was given a behind the scenes tour or all the facilities and change rooms and given in-depth lectures by Raiders Strength and Conditioning Coach Nigel Ashley-Jones and former Country, New South Wales and Australian representative Tom Learoyd-Lahrs.
They were educated on training methods, diet, attitude and their own individual experiences.
