The Canberra Raiders NYC team has lost their second match in a row, falling 22-12 to South Sydney in their delayed NYC match this afternoon at Mounties Sporting Complex.
The match was delayed yesterday afternoon due to bad weather in Sydney and the team travelled to take on the Rabbitohs prior to the Mounties match against Newtown today.
The Raiders had their two under 18’s Origin reps withdraw from the match with Luke Bateman and Tevita Pangai both sitting out the game, with Dennis Tomarchio and Mitchell Shaw late inclusions.
South Sydney opened the scoring through Tyrone Phillips after 12 minutes in the testing conditions and converted the try for the 6-0 lead.
