Rams trialled against Helensburgh today at Northbourne Oval in Reserve and 1st Grades. A mixed day but one with a number of positives that will benefit the Rams enormously when they come up against tough situations during the coming season. The 1st Grade were missing a number of higher profile players which,once again gave some of our up and coming young guns a chance to show their wares. And show their wares they did!
The 1st Gr suffered a number of injuries, whilst not serious, were injuries that under normal conditions would render them unable to continue. As it was by the end of the game we were down to 12 men. However despite these injuries the team pushed through the pain and fatigue barriers and having rejected the opportunity to cut the game short they insisted on playing it out for the full period. Whilst there may have been technical deficiencies, they definitely showed great courage and attitude and definitely passed the T for ticker test.The Club is very proud of them .
