The NRL will reunite players with their families on Wednesday, with the Queensland government agreeing to an application to reunite immediate relatives forced apart by the league's move to the Sunshine State.

Almost 500 family members will travel to Surfers Paradise to reunite with their loved ones after Rugby League Central successfully submitted individual applications to enter the state.

Families were set to be flown to Queensland last Saturday to begin a 14-day isolation period, however, those plans were put on hold after the Queensland government requested more information about the NRL's Covid-safe plan.
