Title: Police probe Sharks players after incident
Post by: RNA on January 12, 2019, 08:37:30 AM
The NRL has been rocked by yet another incident, with the entire Cronulla Sharks squad being banned from a local sailing club following a number of issues involving several lower grade players late last year.

According to a report from Fairfax (https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/cronulla-sharks-squad-barred-from-sailing-club-after-fracas-20190111-p50qxb.html), the Cronulla Sailing Club decided to ban the players from the local NRL club after several members of the Sharks playing group were involved in a fracas at the venue on December 21, two days after coach Shane Flanagan was deregistered as coach by the NRL for breaching the terms of his 12-month ban from the peptides scandal in 2014.

Police and the Sharks are conducting investigations into reports that a series of dust-ups occurred on the night and that NRL players may be involved, considering the blanket ban on the entire squad.
