As It Happened:

Getting close to kick off in the under 20s Holden Cup match between the mighty Raiders and Broncos at Canberra Stadium. Go the Green Machine!

The Raiders need a win today to return to first place on the Holden Cup ladder after the Panthers flogged the Tigers by 50-12 on the weekend.

FIRST HALF

We are underway in the Holden Cup between the Raiders and Broncos. Brisbane kicked off. Go Raiders!

Raiders score first with a try to fullback Jack Creith and take an early lead! Conversion missed, Raiders lead Broncos 4-0 after 8mins in the Holden Cup.

Still 4-0 to the Raiders in the Holden Cup with the ball going end to end and both teams having attacking opportunities.

Raiders are in again with a try to big Mago which Worboys converts from right in front! Raiders lead Broncos 10-0 after 23 mins in the Holden Cup.

Broncos hit back and score with a try to Paia'aua which is converted. Raiders lead Broncos by 10-6 after 26 mins.

Hawkins goes in for the Raiders to extend the lead! Go boys! Conversion is missed, Raiders lead Broncos 14-6 after 30 mins.

Broncos score their second try through Cullen who converts it. It's just a two point ball game now with the Raiders leading Brisbane 14-12 in the Holden cup with 5 mins until half time.

Half time in the Holden Cup with the Raiders leading the Broncos 14-12.

SECOND HALF

Second half of the Holden Cup at Canberra Stadium is underway, Raiders lead the Broncos 14-12.

Broncos score first in the second half to take the lead for the first time in the match with a try to Oats. Conversion successful. Broncos lead Raiders 18-14 after 46 mins.

Broncos go back to back to extend their lead. Try scorer was Byrnes but the conversion was missed. Broncos lead Raiders 22-14 with 30 mins left.

Raiders have a good chance to get back in the game here after getting another set from a drop out after Hawkins made a great break to put them on the attack.

Raiders are in! Bateman dives over right under the posts to get the Green Machine right back in the game! Worboys converts and it's a two point ball game again with the Broncos leading 22-20 after 62 mins of play.

Raiders retake the lead with a try to Ahearn! Gee he has been playing well lately and has really lead the team around well with Worboys while Cornish has been out. Worboys converts and Raiders lead 26-22 with 15 mins to go in the Holden Cup.

Raiders have extended their lead with a try to Kent! He converts his own try from wide out and Raiders lead 32-22 with 6 mins left! Mighty Green Machine!

Kent is in again for the Raiders and grabs a back to back double for himself! Brilliant! He converts too and Raiders lead 38-22 with 3 mins left.

Broncos score in the final minutes through Cullen who grabs his second of the game. It won't matter though! The try is converted. Raiders lead 38-28.

Full time in the Holden Cup, the mighty Raiders defeat the Broncos by 38-28. Raiders are now back to the top of the table and have gone 11 games without a defeat!
