There’s understandably been a huge focus on the Canberra Raiders over the last two months and a hell of a lot of outside noise around the club’s senior players.
From Josh Papalii being rested to Josh Hodgson being linked to the Brisbane Broncos to Joe Tapine being in and out of the side - there’s clearly been a raft of different distractions.
A flash point moment in the win over the Broncos was Jack Wighton getting all the players in a huddle and drumming into them that this was the turning point moment.
Let’s draw a line under everything else, unite together and crack on with trying to win games over the back half of the season.
The senior players for the Raiders were all superb - Hodgson, Papalii, Tapine, Wighton - they stepped up and showed what leadership is all about.
