Shillington passes fitness test

Australia prop forward David Shillington is back in contention for Saturday's Gillette Four Nations match against England after recovering from injury.

The Canberra front rower was initially ruled out of coach Tim Sheens' 19-man squad with the ankle injury he picked up in the controversial tackle by hooker Issac Luke during the Kangaroo's 26-12 win over New Zealand last Friday.

But the 28-year-old Shillington proved his fitness during Friday afternoon's captain's training run at Wembley and has been drafted onto a seven-man bench, from which Sheens will select his four substitutes.

Team: B Slater (Melbourne), A Uate (Newcastle), C Lawrence (Wests Tigers), G Inglis (South Sydney), D Boyd (St George Illawarra); D Lockyer (Brisbane, capt), J Thurston (North Queensland); P Gallen (Cronulla), C Smith (Melbourne), M Scott (North Queensland), L Lewis (Penrith), S Thaiday (Brisbane), A Watmough (Manly).

Interchange (from): C Cronk (Melbourne), K Galloway (Wests Tigers), C Parker (Brisbane), T Williams (Manly), B Scott (St George Illawarra), R Farrar (Wests Tigers), D Shillington (Canberra).
