The Canberra Raiders under 20s side travels to Toyota Stadium in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire this Sunday to take on the Cronulla Sharks.
The second placed Raiders chalked up their eighth consecutive victory last Sunday afternoon with a solid 40-26 victory over the Newcastle Knights.
The Raiders led at 16-10 at the break after a competitive first half, however, two rapid fire tries from James Elias and David Oakes put the Knights ahead not long after the resumption. This lead was short lived though with the Raiders, led by Mitch Cornish and Brenko Lee, rallying late to eventually get the win.
Raiders coach Mick Mantelli was satisfied with the win particularly as it had come after two gruelling away fixtures.
