Belconnen United Scholars (5) 26 drew with Goulburn Workers Bulldogs (2) 26The Goulburn Workers Bulldogs have let go a prime opportunity of upsetting the defending TTM Canberra Raiders Cup premiers, the Belconnen United Scholars.
A stellar first half saw Goulburn establish a 22-0 halftime lead, including two tries to Luke Grey, however they were forced to share the competition points with Belconnen United after the Bulldogs failed to make the most of their head start.
The Bulldogs have been one of the big improvers of the competition so far in 2013 however that will do little to ease the pain of Coach James Aubusson after Saturday’s disappointment.
“A 22-0 lead is pretty much a dream going into half-time and to have a draw at the end of it is certainly gut-wrenching,” said Aubusson.
