Goulburn Workers Bulldogs 44 defeated Gungahlin Bulls 16 at Goulburn Workers ClubGoulburn showed no signs of missing their inspirational skipper Daniel York, thrashing the Gungahlin Bulls 44-16 at home.
York has been ruled out for the rest of the year with a back injury and many predicted that the Bulldogs would miss the talented back-rower dearly, and whilst they undoubtedly will, their effort against the Bulls made it hard to tell.
Gungahlin were right in the contest at half-time, trailing marginally 10-6.The second half was all Goulburn though with fullback Ben Schreiber running riot.
“Our fullback Ben Schreiber was outstanding for us, particularly in that second half,” said York.
